About Traeger
Traeger invented the original wood-fired grill over 30 years ago in Mt. Angel, Oregon. They continue to be leaders in the pellet grill industry with their innovative technology and premium designs. With Traeger’s 6-in-1 versatility, you can grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, & BBQ, creating consistent results and perfectly cooked food every single time.
The Project
Traeger approached ZaneRay looking for a brand infusion on their current website to better align with the high-end lifestyle that comes with their premium grills. I was one of the main designers on the project, tackling not only the UI but also working on strategy, wireframes, information architecture, and prototypes.
Instead of taking on the daunting task of overhauling an entire website at once, we’ve developed a phased approach with Traeger where the site is updated one section at a time. With this approach, Traeger can be more agile, leading to faster ROI and more opportunities for improvement.
Utilizing an iterative approach, we regularly collaborate with the Traeger team on usability testing to get beneficial user feedback and hone our designs. This strategy not only validates our design decisions but also helps take our designs to the next level.
